Area of a Trapezium

What is a Trapezium and how do you find its area?

A trapezium is a quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides.

You can find the area of a trapezium by finding the average of the two parallel sides and multiplying by the distance between them.

The formula is given as:

Area of a Trapezium = 1/2(a+b)h

Where a and b are the parallel sides and h is the perpendicular distance between the two sides.
